The same Blazing Red Grand Tourer luxury RV we use on our Grand Tours. No chauffeur, no fixed itinerary, no schedule but your own. Just you, the keys and wherever you fancy going.

The Idea

Some journeys are better driven yourself

Our Grand Tours exist for people who want every detail handled. Go Solo is for everyone else: the ones who want to pull over when the light is right, change plans over breakfast, and stay an extra night somewhere they had never heard of.

You get the same A-class Grand Tourer we use on our own tours, prepared to the same standard and handed over with a proper walkthrough. Where you take it is entirely your business. Dogs are welcome, as always.

  • Fuel — collected full, returned full
  • Campsite pitch fees and any site bookings
  • Food, drink and provisions
  • Ferry crossings and toll charges
  • Travel insurance
  • Security deposit, refunded after inspection
  • Starlink satellite internet, available as an optional extra

Can you drive it?

Driver requirements

The Grand Tourer is a large A-class motorhome, and the licence you need depends on its weight. Please check this before booking, as we cannot hand the vehicle over to a driver who is not legally entitled to drive it.

  • Full UK or equivalent driving licence held for a minimum period
  • Drivers who passed their test before 1 January 1997 usually hold C1 entitlement automatically
  • Drivers who passed after that date may need to add C1 to their licence if the vehicle exceeds 3,500kg
  • Minimum and maximum driver age applies
  • No more than a limited number of licence points, and no relevant convictions
  • All named drivers must be declared and approved in advance

If you are not sure whether your licence covers the vehicle, get in touch before you book. We will tell you exactly what is required and there is no charge for asking.
