Where do the tours depart from?
Our English and Welsh tours — the Cornish Odyssey, the Jurassic Grand Tour and the Welsh Coast 400 — depart from and return to Windsor, Berkshire, home of Windsor Castle. The Highland Grand Tour departs from and returns to Inverness. For international guests flying in, we offer an airport add-on on every tour: a private chauffeur collects you from Heathrow (for Windsor departures) or Inverness Airport (for the Highland tour) and transfers you in a private luxury saloon.
Do I need to drive?
No. All Blazing Red Grand Tours are fully chauffeur-driven. A professional driver-guide is with you every day of the tour. You never drive. This is particularly designed for international guests from the USA, China and Japan who prefer not to drive on UK roads.
Where does the chauffeur sleep?
Not in the GlamperRV. As soon as your GlamperRV is set up and pitched on site, your chauffeur leaves you in privacy and stays in their own accommodation nearby. They return at the next stage of the tour — on some tours you are on the same site for two nights, so that may not be until the day after next. The GlamperRV is yours alone throughout.
Can we go out in the evening once the chauffeur has left?
Yes. Transport to and from pubs, restaurants and local attractions can be arranged in advance when we plan your itinerary, or ad hoc during the tour. We would far rather you enjoyed the local pub properly than worried about driving.
Are we on our own during the day?
Not at all. Your chauffeur is with you for every leg of the journey — driving, parking, navigating and guiding. It is only once you are pitched and settled that they step away, returning when the tour moves on.
What is included in the tour price?
The tour price includes: exclusive use of the private luxury A-class motorhome for the full duration; a professional chauffeur-guide every day; all campsite pitch fees; all fuel and vehicle running costs; three included boutique pub dinners; a welcome hamper of local produce; daily provisions allowance for breakfasts and lunches; all pre-booked admissions including Stonehenge; a farewell fossil keepsake; and 24/7 concierge support.
How much do the tours cost?
All four Grand Tours start from £9,000 per tour for two guests — £4,500 per person. A Prestige tour, which adds further included experiences, is available on each itinerary. The optional airport add-on costs an additional £1,000 per tour (£500 per person): Heathrow collection for the Windsor departures, or Inverness Airport collection for the Highland Grand Tour.
What is the airport add-on?
The airport add-on is designed for international guests arriving by air. For the Windsor departures — the Cornish Odyssey, the Jurassic Grand Tour and the Welsh Coast 400 — a Blazing Red Grand Tours chauffeur meets you at Heathrow Arrivals with a name board, transfers you to Windsor in a private luxury saloon (approximately 30 minutes), and you check into your Windsor hotel for the night. Your tour begins the next morning. At the end of the tour you enjoy one additional night in Windsor — time to visit Windsor Castle and the town — before a private chauffeur transfer back to Heathrow departures. The Highland Grand Tour has the equivalent add-on from Inverness Airport, with the overnight stay in Inverness. Either costs £1,000 per tour (£500 per person).
What is the luxury motorhome like?
We use a bespoke luxury A-class motorhome — your private boutique hotel on wheels. It features two comfortable double beds with hotel-quality linen, a full shower room and WC, a fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso machine, mobile WiFi, living area air conditioning, heating, solar power, satellite navigation, and an outdoor awning with furniture. It sleeps two guests in complete privacy. Your chauffeur stays in a nearby B&B each night, ensuring you have the vehicle entirely to yourselves.
What tours do you offer?
We offer four tours. The Cornish Odyssey is a 9-day, 8-night tour from Windsor through Dorset and Cornwall, visiting Burton Bradstock, West Bay, Tintagel, Mullion Cove, Kynance Cove, the Lizard Peninsula and the Roseland Peninsula. The Jurassic Grand Tour is an 8-day, 7-night tour from Windsor visiting London film locations, the Black Mountains of Wales, Stonehenge, the Jurassic Coast and the New Forest. The Highland Grand Tour is a 12-day, 11-night tour of Scotland's North Coast 500 from Inverness. The Welsh Coast 400 is an 8-day, 7-night tour from Windsor looping the Welsh coastline. Bespoke tours can also be designed around your own dates, regions and interests.
Is this suitable for American tourists visiting Britain?
Yes — Blazing Red Grand Tours is specifically designed for American visitors who want to experience the best of Britain without the stress of driving on the left. Our airport collection service means you step off your flight and into a private car. Our tours visit Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, the Jurassic Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site, Cornwall, the Welsh coastline and the Scottish Highlands.
Is this suitable for visitors from China and Japan?
Yes. The fully chauffeured format means no driving is required. The itinerary features UNESCO World Heritage sites, historic royal destinations and a private curated experience with no navigation challenges. The Heathrow Add-On creates a seamless door-to-door journey from international arrivals to the English countryside.
What is the Jurassic Coast?
The Jurassic Coast is England's only natural UNESCO World Heritage Site — a 95-mile stretch of coastline in Dorset and East Devon exposing 185 million years of Earth's history in its cliffs, rocks and fossils. Highlights include Durdle Door (a natural limestone arch), Lulworth Cove (a perfect circular bay), Chesil Beach (an 18-mile shingle bank) and the Fossil Forest. Both Blazing Red Grand Tours itineraries include significant sections of this extraordinary coastline.
When do the tours operate?
Tours operate April to October. The Cornish Odyssey runs in June 2027 (dates to be confirmed — contact us to enquire). The Jurassic Grand Tour, the Highland Grand Tour and the Welsh Coast 400 operate throughout the April to October season. All tours require a minimum of 8 weeks advance booking. A 30% deposit secures your dates with the balance due 6 weeks before departure.
